Haryana Plans Disneyland-Style Theme Park in Delhi-NCR, Confirms CM Nayab Saini

Chandigarh | July 3, 2025 – The Political Observer

In a bold move to boost tourism and economic growth, the Haryana government is planning to develop a Disneyland-style theme park in the Delhi-NCR region, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced after a meeting with Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

Calling it a “game-changing project”, CM Saini said the entertainment hub will serve as a world-class amusement destination, attracting tourists from across the country and beyond. “This project will not only transform Haryana into a global tourism hotspot but will also bring significant cultural, social, and economic benefits to the state and the nation,” he said.

Manesar Chosen for Mega Tourism Project

The proposed Disneyland-inspired park is expected to be built on 500 acres of land near Pachgaon Chowk in Manesar, a location strategically positioned along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor.

Gurugram’s proximity to several multinational headquarters and its established infrastructure makes the region an ideal site for the ambitious venture. The project aims to leverage Haryana’s connectivity and urban market potential to create an internationally competitive tourism and leisure hub.

Employment and Development Potential

According to CM Saini, the mega entertainment zone will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs, while also spurring infrastructure development and revitalizing the surrounding region. The government envisions the theme park as a catalyst for economic transformation, particularly in the tourism, hospitality, and transport sectors.

The proposal is currently under review and is expected to be presented before central authorities and potential investors in the coming months.
