Srinagar: Department of Urology of Banaras Hindu University held its second alumni meet for the first time in Kashmir. It was held at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences. The meet was held as a part of Banaras Hindu University’s initiative of connecting with its former students. It witnessed 40 alumni of the Department of Urology BHU who are working as specialists in urology and kidney transplantation across medical institutions in India. The event was hosted by alumni of the BHU Urology Department. Faculty members, doctors, and students who are currently enrolled in this department were also present. The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha delivered the welcome address and laid emphasis on the importance of conducting the alumni meet and its outcome in strengthening institutional responsibility, credibility, and effective feedback. Faculty members also shared their views and outlined the role of alumni towards further academic progression of the department.
