Flight operations across the Middle East remain disrupted following a 12-day conflict between Iran and Israel, despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire at the end of June. Although Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport reopened on July 4 after a 20-day closure, many carriers continue to suspend or reduce services due to lingering airspace and safety issues.
Several airlines, including Delta, Lufthansa, KLM, Iberia Express, Air Canada, and Ryanair, have extended flight suspensions to Tel Aviv, Tehran, Amman, and Damascus into August and beyond. Some, like airBaltic and Iberia Express, have canceled flights to Tel Aviv through September and October.
Meanwhile, carriers such as AEGEAN, Emirates, and Wizz Air are gradually resuming select routes in phases starting mid-July to August.
Safety and regional instability continue to impact airline schedules, with many avoiding the airspace of Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Israel.
