Amid the devastation, Pakistan’s Ministry of Finance posted an urgent message on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), appealing for immediate assistance and additional loans from international allies. The post highlighted the severe economic damage inflicted by the ongoing conflict, stating, “Due to the current war situation and massive financial losses, we urgently need support.”
This stark revelation indicates that within just 48 hours of the conflict, Pakistan’s financial stability has completely collapsed, and the country is now scrambling for foreign aid.
In an emotional moment, Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, was seen crying in a live TV broadcast, visibly distressed by the dire situation. However, despite this emotional display, Asif continued to issue threats against India, declaring, “If diplomacy fails, the guns will speak.” He further claimed that Pakistan would no longer exercise restraint in the face of India’s military actions.
