Lucknow, May 13: In a significant development in India’s counter-terrorism operations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday publicly addressed the recent military action dubbed ‘Operation Sindoor’, hailing it as one of the most decisive blows against terrorism in recent times. The Prime Minister praised the Indian armed forces for the precision and courage demonstrated during the operation, marking the first time he has commented directly on its execution and impact.

Speaking to the nation, PM Modi declared, “India will not tolerate those who shed innocent blood. The message of Operation Sindoor is clear: Terrorism will be met with the full might of the Indian state.”

The Prime Minister’s remarks sparked strong political and public reactions, notably from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who echoed the sentiment with a stern warning to anti-national elements. “Those who attempt to erase the vermilion of our mothers and sisters will themselves be erased,” the Chief Minister stated, invoking powerful imagery to underline the government’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism.

CM Yogi further lauded the bravery of the Indian Army and security forces, asserting that their actions not only protected the sovereignty of the nation but also restored faith among citizens. “This is New India. We do not remain silent in the face of atrocities. We respond with strength, resolve, and clarity,” he added.

Although official details of Operation Sindoor remain classified, sources indicate that it was a high-level strike targeting insurgent hideouts across the border. The operation is said to have neutralised key terrorist figures who were allegedly involved in plotting attacks against Indian civilians and security establishments.

Political observers view the Prime Minister’s address as a strategic message ahead of key elections, intended to reinforce national security as a core government priority. The operation has also triggered widespread public support across social media platforms, with hashtags related to the mission trending nationally.

As the political discourse intensifies, both the Centre and state governments appear united in their message: India’s internal and external enemies will be confronted with unwavering resolve, and national security remains a paramount concern.

The nation now awaits further official briefings on the scope and outcomes of Operation Sindoor, while citizens and analysts alike reflect on its broader implications for regional security and India’s counter-terrorism doctrine.
