After Pakistani drones violated Indian airspace at 26 points along the western front on Saturday, the Indian armed forces launched precision strikes on multiple Pakistani military installations, severely damaging their air surveillance and attack infrastructure. The operation, carried out in the early hours, was a swift and targeted retaliation.
In a coordinated attack last night, Pakistani forces targeted key Indian airbases including Pathankot, Bathinda, and Udhampur. In response, India activated Operation Sindoor, which led to the neutralization of drone hubs and disrupted enemy operations at several locations across the border.
Leading the government’s special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army, and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force detailed the series of attacks and India’s countermeasures. Misri said, “Pakistan’s aggression was met with a calibrated response. India remains committed to de-escalation but expects reciprocal restraint.”
Pakistan’s military reportedly attacked civilian locations as well, including schools and medical facilities in Srinagar, Avantipura, and Udhampur, which the Indian side termed as provocative and unacceptable.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh confirmed that Pakistan is mobilizing troops towards forward areas, indicating possible preparation for further military engagement. “Indian armed forces are in a high state of operational readiness. All hostile actions have been countered effectively,” she stated.
She also addressed misinformation being spread by Pakistan, including false claims about the destruction of Indian airfields in Suratgarh and Sirsa, and damage to the S-400 air defense system. “These are baseless lies intended to mislead the public. India categorically rejects such propaganda,” Singh said.
The Indian government has emphasized that all responses have been proportionate and directed strictly at military targets, avoiding civilian harm. However, the situation remains tense.
Meanwhile, cities like Jalandhar have been put on high alert following missile strikes, and investigations are underway into a suspected missile crash near Phagwara.
With the Pakistan Army pushing troops forward, tensions are rising along the border. The Indian military has reiterated its commitment to peace—but warned that it will not hesitate to act decisively if provoked further.
