New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will leave for Lumbini (Nepal) from Kushinagar International Airport after taking off from Palam technical area in a special Air Force aircraft on May 16 on Buddha Purnima.
The Kushinagar district administration has come into alert mode regarding this journey. The airport administration has also started preparations. However, the details of the itinerary have not been made public. But the administration has received orders from the top level to complete the preparations.
Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will welcome the Prime Minister at the airport. Thereafter, Modi will leave for Lumbini in a special Air Force helicopter. The district administration has started making security preparations for this visit.
District Magistrate S Rajalingam has instructed the officers of the district to start preparations. The police administration is finalising the security maze inside and outside the airport. The airport administration is gearing up for the safe landing and take off of the Prime Minister’s air fleet and other logistical arrangements.
Airport Director AK Dwivedi said that all arrangements were being made in view of the arrival of the Prime Minister. Confirming the arrival of PM in Kushinagar, Superintendent of Police Dhaval Jaiswal said that security preparations were being completed.
