Atishi Slams BJP Over Renewed ED Cases, Says No Evidence of Corruption Found Against AAP

New Delhi— Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi on Friday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of reviving false cases against AAP leaders through central agencies, following the party’s defeat in the Visavadar by-election in Gujarat.

Addressing a press conference, Atishi stated that despite years of intensive investigations and raids, not a single rupee of corruption has been found against any AAP leader. “The BJP has resumed its blatant misuse of central investigative agencies. The cycle of fake cases is back in motion,” she said, citing the Supreme Court’s past remarks describing agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as “caged parrots.”

She linked the timing of the revived cases to the recent political setback suffered by the BJP in Gujarat. “The real reason lies in the Visavadar by-election. The BJP used every possible tactic—money power, muscle, even distributing alcohol in a dry state—but the people rejected them. Our candidate won with a massive margin despite threats and intimidation,” she said.

Highlighting the party’s growing appeal in Gujarat, Atishi noted that after Gopal Italia’s victory, public support for AAP is rising. She blamed the BJP for decades of misrule, pointing to issues like urban flooding in Surat, crumbling infrastructure, and failing public services.

“Gujarat now sees hope in AAP,” she said, asserting that the BJP’s attempt to suppress AAP through central agencies is a reaction to their political decline.

Challenging the BJP, Atishi added, “Investigate all our work as much as you want. You will find no corruption. And let me make it clear—AAP leaders will not be scared or silenced.”

She concluded with a bold prediction for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly polls: “It will be the Aam Aadmi Party that defeats the BJP and forms the next government.”
