Ambala: In response to rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Ambala administration has decided to implement a complete blackout in the city from 8 PM to 6 AM. This precautionary measure comes amid concerns over a potential airstrike by Pakistan.
District Magistrate Ajay Singh Tomar clarified that during this period, all external lighting, including streetlights, billboards, and the use of inverters or generators, will be prohibited. He further warned that violators of these orders would face legal action under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
The administration has also urged residents not to panic and to avoid unnecessary hoarding of goods. Strict action will be taken against any reports of black-marketing or price inflation.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reassured the public, stating that any hostile actions from Pakistan would be met with a strong response. He emphasized that the decision to impose the blackout was crucial for the security of Ambala and its residents, and the administration expects full cooperation from the citizens. During the blackout, adherence to security guidelines will be mandatory to ensure safety in the face of any potential threats.
