Transfers in Haryana’s Energy, Transport, Labour Departments Put on Hold: Anil Vij
Ambala | July 2, 2025 – The Political Observer
Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij has announced a temporary freeze on all transfers within the Energy, Transport, and Labour Departments, pending the full implementation of the state’s new Online Transfer Policy.
Vij made the announcement via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating that no transfers will be carried out in any of his departments until the online policy is completely operational. This move aligns with the state government’s push for transparent, merit-based, and technology-driven employee management.
About the Online Transfer Policy
The Model Online Transfer Policy, recently notified by the Haryana Government, aims to bring efficiency, transparency, and fairness to the transfer process across various government departments. The policy uses a digital system to process transfers based on performance, seniority, and service conditions, thereby reducing political or personal interference.
As part of its rollout, the government has instructed each department to appoint a Group A or B-level nodal officer to oversee implementation and ensure compliance.
This policy shift is seen as a major step towards curbing transfer-related irregularities and ensuring administrative accountability across the state.
